Our Maple Syrup

Our Business began about 3 years ago. What began as a fun hobby has quickly grown. Copper River Farms prides itself with quality and taste of 100% pure Maple Syrup from the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Copper River Farms taps over 6,000 of our own trees and continues to grow every year. Our pure maple syrup is harvested from only one thing: sap from sugar in maple trees. Preparation for "SAP" season is critical. Months before the start of maple syrup season we are preparing, inspecting, repairing, and adding on tubing to our woods. Our procedure with tubing is a method we use that starts with drilling a small shallow hole into the tree and a spout attached directly to the tubing.  With our tubing we apply a vacuum, the vacuum increases sap and helps stimulate Sap flow from the tree and through the tubing. The tubing runs downhill for the sap to effectively flow to our holding tank. We then utilize high pressure filtration to remove a large percentage of water from the sap before it enters the evaporator with a process called reverse osmosis (RO). This process saves us both time and energy. After a series of filtering maple syrup we then grade our maple syrup by color and comparing the syrup produced to a standardized grading kit.
